Concept: Two different people become friends Art making strategies: Using photos and animating them. My reaction: I liked the story, and the way that photos were integrated in.
Overall, I think the main issue was how quickly the text was going. Even if the screen hadn't been blurry, I would have had time to read it. (No worries though, I get it, we had the same problem. Getting the timing down is rough). I feel like you guys did a great job animating though, having them walk and such worked out well, especially because you guys took cartoon characters, cut them, and created bones to make their movements.
I think that the idea behind the animation is really clear: different people - identities - can come together even though they might have differences. I think that it would have been more successful if you had created your own characters with their own identities and maybe if you used voice overs, as well. For the most part, the animation was clear and worked well.
i thought the approach you took with using photos as backgrounds was very cool. i also liked the look of the characters, nicely drawn! the pacing of the talk bubbles was hard to read, and i think the movements of the figures (legs moving while standing still, etc.) could be adjusted. i thought the sound really added to the movie.

The story was about identity and two different people coming together as friends. It was kind of hard to read the small text.

ReplyDeleteI like the story how two people became friends. The text was hard to read, but the sounds and photos were effective.
